Thank you for your patience and interest in FARMING WHILE BLACK. We’re a small team currently fielding many requests for the film as it gathers more momentum. In order to recoup our costs we charge licensing fees for publicly screening the film, also known as Public Performance Rights (PPR).
Our licensing fees for screenings as listed below take into consideration size, budgets of organizations, etc. We want to make the film accessible to all, so please let us know if you need a sliding scale pricing structure. An online screener and licensing agreement can be sent upon request.
Public Screening Licensing
A screening license is necessary for any public or group showing of a film. By paying for the license you are helping to support the filmmaker and the film distribution ecosystem. The screening can be free, ticketed, or donation based. We can offer discounts for multiple screenings, and if you are a grassroots organization, work with your budget limitations.
• Host a one-time showing of FARMING WHILE BLACK to a public audience of any size.
For non-profits/individuals:
15 people or under $150
50 people or under $250
100 people or under $350
100-300 people $450
Educational Licensing
Educational institutions are welcome to hold single in-person or remote learning screening events, distinct from the perpetual educational licenses. However screening licenses do not allow for a school to retain a film for library circulation or future classroom use at this time.
An educational license allows current students, faculty, members or staff to:
• View FARMING WHILE BLACK “face-to-face,” in a classroom, or via streaming for remote/distance learning
• View FARMING WHILE BLACK in a noncommercial fashion, for the purposes of research and education.
Note: 1) This license covers classroom and student 1 time screening use. 2) This license does not allow you to charge admission, or sublicense, digitize or duplicate the film. 3) DVDs are not available at this time. 4) If a campus wide screening is requested, please contact us for more details on a Public Performance Rights License (PPR).
For educational (fees through 2024):
K-12 $300
College/University $350
Public Library $350
Educational library access will be available in early 2025.
Corporations and Conference screenings:
Case-by-case pricing (starting at $500)
Please note that if you wish for any film crew or characters to attend the screening and participate in a Q&A or panel, speaker fees are additional. Travel and accommodation costs are also additional.
